    Terms of Use

    The important distinction

    ElectricalPanels.ca publishes Canadian electrical panel information and accepts service requests. It is not an electrical contractor, utility, inspection authority, or emergency dispatch service. Any electrical work is governed by a separate agreement between you and the qualified provider you choose.

    1. Acceptance

    These Terms govern your access to ElectricalPanels.ca, including its guides, calculators, contact forms, chat tools, and service-request features. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit a request.

    2. What the platform provides

    ElectricalPanels.ca provides:

    • educational content about electrical panels, service upgrades, permits, inspections, and related projects;
    • planning tools and non-binding cost or scope information; and
    • a request-intake service that may help identify an available local service path.

    Submitting a form does not create a contractor-client relationship, guarantee that a provider is available, schedule an appointment, or authorize work. We may ask for more information, decline a request, or be unable to locate coverage in a particular area.

    3. Electrical work and third-party providers

    A contractor or other provider who responds to a request is a separate business. Before authorizing work, you are responsible for confirming the provider's legal business name, licensing or certification where applicable, insurance, permit responsibility, scope, price, schedule, cancellation terms, and warranty.

    The provider's written quote or service agreement controls the actual work. ElectricalPanels.ca does not set or collect the provider's payment, issue the provider's warranty, supervise the work, or guarantee a provider's conduct, workmanship, availability, or regulatory compliance.

    4. Service requests and permission to route them

    When you submit a request, you authorize ElectricalPanels.ca and its platform operators to use the information you provide to assess, respond to, and administer the request. Where appropriate, the request may be shared with one or more prospective providers or service coordinators who may be able to respond. Our Privacy Policy explains the information flow in more detail.

    You must provide information that is accurate, current, and yours to share. Do not submit another person's contact or property information without authority to do so.

    5. Safety and emergencies

    The website, chat, email, and forms are not monitored as emergency services. For fire, smoke, arcing, a shock incident, a downed electrical line, or an immediate threat to life or property, move to a safe location and contact 911, the fire service, or the local electric utility as appropriate. Do not remove a panel cover or touch exposed electrical equipment based on anything published on this site.

    6. Educational content and estimates

    Content is general Canadian information, not site-specific electrical, engineering, legal, insurance, or financial advice. Requirements differ by province or territory, municipality, utility, property, equipment, and project scope. Official authorities and qualified local professionals must confirm the requirements that apply to a particular property.

    Cost ranges, timelines, calculators, and examples are planning aids only. They are not quotes, offers, promises, or guarantees. A provider's written proposal should identify the final scope, assumptions, exclusions, taxes, fees, and commercial terms.

    7. Acceptable use

    You agree not to:

    • use the site unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm another person;
    • attempt to disrupt, probe, bypass, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems;
    • submit malicious code, automated spam, or deceptive requests;
    • scrape or reproduce substantial portions of the site for a competing commercial service; or
    • misrepresent an affiliation with ElectricalPanels.ca or HAUSE Network.

    8. Intellectual property and links

    Unless otherwise stated, the site's original text, design, branding, and software are owned by or licensed to the publisher and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Limited personal, non-commercial use is permitted. Official-source and third-party links are provided for reference; their owners control their content, availability, and privacy practices.

    9. Availability, disclaimers, and liability

    The site is provided on an "as available" basis. We work to keep important information accurate and current, but we do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free content, provider availability, or a particular project outcome.

    To the extent permitted by applicable law, ElectricalPanels.ca and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the site, reliance on general content, inability to access the site, or dealings with a third-party provider. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

    10. Changes and severability

    We may update these Terms as the platform changes. The date above identifies the current version. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

    11. Contact

    Questions about these Terms can be sent to the ElectricalPanels.ca publisher at info@hause.ca.
