    Privacy Policy

    In plain language

    We collect the details needed to answer and route an electrical project request. The website does not collect payment-card or banking information. A request may be shared with platform service providers and, when appropriate, a prospective local provider who may be able to respond.

    1. Scope and accountability

    This Policy explains how ElectricalPanels.ca, a HAUSE Network site, handles personal information when you browse the site, use its chat, email us, download a resource, or submit a contact, estimate, or service request. Privacy questions and access or correction requests can be sent to our privacy contact at info@hause.ca.

    2. Information you choose to provide

    Depending on the form or conversation, we may collect:

    • your name, email address, and telephone number;
    • the service address, city, and other location information;
    • project type, urgency, preferred timing, budget range, and project notes;
    • panel age, amperage, equipment, or other property and project details;
    • messages and correspondence with the platform or a responding provider; and
    • the title of a resource requested or an estimate displayed before submission.

    Do not send payment-card numbers, banking credentials, government identification numbers, health records, or other information that is not needed to assess an electrical request.

    3. Request and technical information

    When you submit a form, the request also includes the page URL and title, referral source, submission time, browser user-agent, device category, and IP address associated with the request. This context helps us identify the source of a request, prevent abuse, troubleshoot delivery, and respond appropriately. Hosting and security providers may also process routine server logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp.

    4. Why we use the information

    We use personal information to:

    • receive, assess, route, and respond to an inquiry or project request;
    • determine what location, scope, or safety information is still needed;
    • connect a requester with a prospective provider where coverage may be available;
    • communicate about the request and related follow-up;
    • operate, secure, debug, and improve the website and request-delivery system; and
    • maintain appropriate business records and meet applicable legal obligations.

    We do not use a service request as consent for unrelated promotional email. If optional marketing is introduced, it will use a separate choice and an unsubscribe method.

    5. When information is disclosed

    Information may be disclosed only as reasonably needed to:

    • operate the platform through hosting, form-processing, email-delivery, security, and customer-communication providers, including Supabase, Resend, and the embedded chat provider;
    • share a relevant request with one or more prospective electrical service providers or service coordinators who may be able to respond;
    • complete a business reorganization involving the platform, subject to appropriate safeguards; or
    • comply with law, legal process, safety needs, or the protection of rights and systems.

    Providers receive only the information reasonably connected to their role. Some technology providers may process information outside Canada, where it can be subject to the laws of the place in which it is processed.

    6. Chat, local storage, and similar technology

    The site loads a third-party chat widget after the main page has loaded. Information entered in chat is processed to operate that conversation, and the widget may use cookies or browser storage for session, preference, security, and delivery functions. The application may also use browser storage for essential session or interface functionality.

    The current application does not load a separate advertising pixel or general-purpose site analytics tag. Browser controls can block or clear cookies and local storage, although doing so may affect chat or other site functions.

    7. Retention and safeguards

    We retain request and correspondence information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, coordinate follow-up, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, secure the platform, and meet legal obligations. Retention can differ depending on whether a request proceeds and whether a provider keeps separate records under its own policy.

    We use administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information and the platform. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure, so please limit submissions to information relevant to the request.

    8. Your choices and privacy requests

    You may ask about the personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, or withdraw consent for future use where consent is the basis for processing, subject to applicable legal and record-keeping limits. Email info@hause.ca with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

    If you no longer want a prospective provider to contact you, tell that provider directly and notify us so we can update the platform-side request where reasonably possible.

    9. Children

    The request service is intended for adults arranging work for a property. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted information can contact us to request review and deletion where appropriate.

    10. Changes and contact

    We may update this Policy when the site, request flow, or service providers change. The date above identifies the current version. Questions, concerns, and privacy requests can be sent to:
